What We're Looking For:
At least 5 years of experience--handling construction claims, including:

--- Breach of contract for non-payment
--- Mechanic's liens & stop notices
--- Payment bond & indemnity claims
--- Insurance & defect litigation
--- Experience preparing and analyzing construction contracts
--- A highly motivated, detail-oriented--self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment
--- Strong interpersonal and communication skills--with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities:

--- Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests and responses
--- Attend court hearings on behalf of clients and argue motions
--- Prepare for and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration hearings
--- Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions


Qualifications:

--- Five years of experience as a senior associate in the legal industry
--- Member of state and local bar associations in good standing
--- Work independently while handling a heavy caseload
--- Four-year bachelor's degree and successful completion of law school from an accredited law school
--- Persuasive writing skills and verbal communication skills are critical, along with time management and interpersonal skills
