Director of Graduate AdmissionsPosting Number: S1500PPay Range: The
compensation for this appointment will range from $85,000 to
$90,000 annually and reflects what California Baptist University
reasonably expects to pay for this staff appointment. Actual
compensation may vary based on the qualifications and experience of
the applicant, as well as market conditions. In addition to wages,
CBU offers a robust suite of employee benefits.Position Summary
Information:Provides leadership and guidance to the Graduate
Admissions department. The position performs those duties and tasks
necessary to attain the University's enrollment goals. The position
qualifies for working remotely, subject to CBU Telecommuting
policy.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruits new students in areas assigned by the Director of
Graduate Admissions.
- Oversees the calendaring and logistics of recruitment events
for all counselors; working in collaboration with Assistant
Director, and various departments to ensure event success.
- Evaluates the files of prospective students for admission to
the University.
- Meets with staff, faculty, and prospective students regarding
admissions procedure and decisions as needed or required.
- Responsible for writing and updating department policies and
procedures manuals for support staff, counselors, and
workflows.
- Oversees and ensures the execution of policies and procedures
throughout department via training, development, and observation of
employees.
- Manages and assists Director in the evaluation of Graduate
Admissions staff under the direction of the Graduate Admissions
Director. This includes assisting in hiring and training of staff
providing leadership and direction in the absence of the
director.
- Monitors event and student worker budgets and assists in budget
preparation under the direction of the Director of Graduate
Admissions.
- Assists in goal setting for traditional graduate
admissions.
- Assists in the development and execution of Graduate Admissions
communication efforts, including quality control of content in
marketing collateral, website, and key communication channels.
- Reports and assesses the success of various recruitment
campaigns using analytics from Salesforce, Cloud, university CRM,
university website, and other applications.
- Interacts regularly with CBU's leadership team as well as
Academic Deans and program Directors, to develop recruiting
strategies and partnerships.
- Represents department at leadership meetings as assigned.
- Assists in other student services and activities as
requested.
- Duties will require evening and weekend work and travel. A
valid driver's license, a good driving record, and reliable
transportation are required.
- Participates in workshops and staff development trainings that
keep admissions staff current regarding enrollment
trends.Supervisory Responsibilities:Carries out supervisory
responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and
applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training
employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising
performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing
complaints and resolving problems.Other Knowledge Skills and

- Knowledge of standard budgeting, and expenditure control

judgments.
- Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and
procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new
strategies and procedures.
- Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.

procedures.

- Ability to investigate and analyze information, and to draw
conclusions.Education and/or Experience:Master's degree or
equivalent desirable; or four to ten years' related experience
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
