System One is seeking an Environmental Technician in Vernon California for a long-term contract.

Responsibilities:
--- Performs non routine and occasionally heavy labor tasks related to onsite industrial waste, hazardous waste, field environmental surveys or operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities.
--- Collects samples and maintains documentation in record logs.
--- Operates trucks, pumps, vacuum equipment, oil booms, generators, and other machinery/equipment.
--- Establishes and maintains appropriate logs of activities.
--- Tests, calibrates, repairs, and modifies control and instrumentation systems at onsite locations.
--- Many assignments are completed independently.
--- Gives leadership and guidance to lower level Technicians assigned to the same unit.
--- Prepares periodic or one of a kind reports of various activities and findings.
--- May initiate reports and/or establish and maintain logs and records.
--- Reports may be for individual activity or summary of group activities.
--- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements:
--- Associate's degree in a related field and 4+ years of experience
--- Completion of a 40 hour OSHA training course is nice to have
--- Appropriate operator certification may also be required.
--- Proficiency in performing Technician assignments and responsibilities, as well as tasks and testing techniques related to operations.

Additional Information:
--- Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
--- Weekly pay, benefits, & 401k offered
--- $20 - $25 an/hour
--- Long-term contract until December
