that bring augmented reality to life.We're looking for a Software
Engineer, Embedded Open XR Lens to join the Snap Lab team at Snap
Inc!What you'll do:
- You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance
software solutions for the Spectacles family of AR devices.
- Design, develop, and optimize software solutions utilizing
OpenXR and WebXR technologies in both prototype and shipping
consumer products.
- Ability to optimize large frameworks on a Performance, Memory,
and Power/Thermal constraint device is a plus.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews with peers and
stakeholders to create reliable solutions.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by
analyzing the sources of issues.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Familiarity with browser engine development and optimizations
(e.g., Webkit, Chromium).
- Good understanding of Operating System concepts
(Linux/Android), data structures, and familiarity with computer
system architecture and Performance tradeoffs.
- Software Development process skills including source control,
bug tracking, and design documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and software debugging skills.Minimum
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or
equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience with embedded software development.
- Proficiency programming in C or C++.Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field such as computer science or

States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the
salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting
pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience,
qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting
pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position.
These pay zones may be modified in the future.Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):
The base salary range for this position is $152,000-$228,000
annually.Zone B: The base salary range for this position is
$144,000-$217,000 annually.Zone C: The base salary range for this
position is $129,000-$194,000 annually.This position is eligible
for equity in the form of RSUs.
