Compensation Claims Specialist.This position is based in our
Calabasas office with a hybrid schedule of a minimum 1 day in the
office per week.Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Serves as a technical liaison between Home Office Claims
(Calabasas) and the three field offices. Responsible for setting
appropriate parameters, executing strategies, and training as
needed.
- Reports directly to Assistant Vice President, Home Office
Claims.
- Oversees a significant inventory of complex and/or high value
workers' compensation claims.
- Responsible for conducting thorough investigations, critically
assessing coverage and liability, and formulating strategic
approaches to claim resolution.
- Analyzes and negotiates settlements/reserves within prescribed
authority.
- Develops and implements strategic coverage decisions,
determining outcomes, and formulating negotiation strategies for
stakeholders.
- Oversees the issuance of payments within assigned authority
limits, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensures all correspondence, reports, and settlement agreements
are accurately documented and strategically managed.
- Serves as the technical expert on a product(s).
- Evaluates and makes recommendations to executive management on
internal and external issues of strategic importance to a
product(s).
- Accountable for achieving performance targets/business
results.
- Performs other duties as assigned.Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management
and Insurance, Finance, or a related field or equivalent
experience.
- Multi-jurisdictional experience preferred.
- Experience with primary and/or excess reinsurance
preferred.
- Generally, a minimum of 12 years of experience in property and
casualty claims handling. Completion of a professional designation
preferred, such as Associate in Claims (AIC).
- Operates at a high authority level on complex, high-impact
assignments, possessing extensive workers' compensation claims
technical knowledge and skills. Excellent analytical, negotiation,
and problem-solving skills. Recognized as the company expert in
their field. Ensures compliance with all legal, statutory, and
regulatory requirements and is accountable for achieving
performance targets and business results.Company: RICA Republic

$150,000.00Benefits: Compensation varies by role, position level,
and location. Individual pay is influenced by skills, education,
training, certifications, experience, and the role's scope and
