key role within the Site Supply Chain organization. This position
is responsible for the understanding and application of supply
chain management concepts in a global business environment. The
primary responsibilities of this position are to insure continuity
of materials supply, quality, and overall cost management
consistent with Company policy and financial and operational
performance standards and objectives. Key Performance Indicators
include customer service levels, production schedule attainment,
and inventory range of coverage. Responsibilities: Essential
DutiesEstablish specifications in terms of optimal quantity to
purchase, quality required, and the cost impact on budget.Select
suppliers according to the type of product, quality provided by the
supplier, and the possibility of partnership.Negotiate contracts
that include costs, delivery, handling, and penalties for late
delivering or cost overruns.Manage purchasing cycle, including
generating requisitions, PO creation, PO follow up, goods
reception, and final paymentMonitor supplier performance using the
Supplier Scorecard program and manage actions based on
outcomesCreate, monitor, verify for data accuracy and maintain
applicable planning master data in the ERP system.Determine
inventory management strategies and objectivesMinimize inventory
investment by managing inventories to optimal levels based on
manufacturing requirements and company financial objectives as
defined in the KPIs.Identify process and system improvement
opportunities and, using root cause analysis and other lean tools,
determine and implement solutions that drive inventory reduction
and elimination of non-value added activitiesControl incoming
freight and handling costsThe job function listed is not exhaustive
