Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Los Angeles site is looking for a new Air Logistics Gateway Operations Supervisor to join our Air Logistics team.Your RoleReporting to the Area Air Logistics Gateway & Procurement Manager - West Area you will supervise daily Air Export Gateway Operations in cooperation with other Department Supervisor(s) and direct Manager.Your Responsibilities

• Setup each consolidation morning by assigning the daily jobs
• Escalate any unresolved issues or risks before they materially impact Kuehne+Nagel
• Keep close communication with warehouse staff to ensure daily incoming shipments are transiting through on time
• Maintain and develop working relationships with key overseas partners and domestic branch contacts
• Motivate direct reports to take on additional workload related to business needs and daily air export gateway coverage when needed in the event of staff shortages; assist this process through direct delegation
• Maintain relationship with key accounts managers as main contact and escalation point of contact for larger consolidations/ regular business
• Oversee new business implementation in cooperation with department manager and outside account managers as well as the branch owners
• Supervise and provide support to Saturday AEX Operation and staff to ensure all scheduled shipments arrive and are processed for weekend consolidations and all unknown arrived shipments are reviewed for potential weekend booking
• Manage the financial accounting responsibilities of the Gateway in coordination with the department Manager
• Delegate the daily throughput of shared email receipts as necessary inside the department
• Maintain & Review Data quality elements to ensure monthly KPI targets are met
• Maintain, review, and update the organization of flight schedules and contract pricing
• Manage Air Export Gateway daily accounting requirements by acknowledging and ensuring billing is done on time and or delegated to necessary direct reporting staff
• Work on File Status (FSL) on a daily basis and analyze loss files to ensure proper billing or rate adjustments with carriers as neededYour Skills and Experiences
• 3+ years' Air Export Gateway experience
• 1+ years' leadership experience
• Must have knowledge of Unit Load Device Process (ULD)
• Must be available to work afterhours, weekend, and holidays when in need

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
