Primary Purpose
The Electrical Line Technician gets to 'spark' up the business by
installing, repairing and maintaining temporary power poles, lines,
and generators for our customers. this roll assembles, installs,
tests, and maintains electrical and electronic wiring, equipment,
appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
Essential Functions
- Maintain, operate, and repair electrical systems
- Perform installation and maintenance tasks to ensure effective
operation of various electrical equipment
- Install and repair of temporary power poles using hand tools
and testing instruments to diagnose malfunctioning systems,
apparatus, and components and isolate defects in wiring, switches,
motors and other elements of electrical systems
- Mount motors, transformers and lighting fixtures into position
and complete circuits according to diagram specifications
- Inspect completed work for conformance with requirements of
applicable safety codes
- Maintain telephone or radio contact with dispatch to update
dispatch when on and offsite and to receive additional
instructions, and for changes to work locations
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety
procedures
- Maintain truck logs according to state and federal
regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one to
customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
including superiors and direct reports
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply,
and divide). Ability to perform these operations using units of
American currency, measurement, weight, and distance. Ability to
estimate materials and labor costs
- Ability to interpret and work from instructions, penciled plans
and sketches, and blueprints
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and
draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with problems involving a
few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Thorough knowledge of the practices, methods, equipment,
materials, and tools of the electrical trade
- Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety
precautions of the work
- Skill in the use and care of all hand and shop tools and
equipment of the electrician's trade
- Minimum 3 years electrical experience
- Valid Driver's License and proof of current automobile
insurance
Physical Requirements
- Sit while driving and stand while servicing products
- Use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects tools
or controls
- Repeat the same movements
- See details of objects that are less than a few feet away and
also at greater distance
- Speak clearly so customers can understand
- Understand the speech of another person
- Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them
- Walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion
- Enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling
- Lift up to 40lbs from your waist to your shoulders
- Lift 30lbs from the floor to your head
- Crouch and squat
- Push 100lbs and pull 100lbs horizontally

reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position
applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary
range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job
related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our
total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive
benefits program.
Salary Range
$21.38 - $29.93 / hour
