for this position.JOB TITLE: SITE SUPERVISORBasic Function: The
Site Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Owner/Program
Director of the childcare.Experience: The Site Supervisor shall
have at least 5 years of Site Supervisor status and
experience.General Description: The Site Supervisor will supervise
the childcare and development program facility operated in a single
site; provide service in the care, development, and instruction of
children in a childcare and development program; serve as a
coordinator of curriculum and staff development. Site Supervisor
will assist the Program Director/Owner as needed.

- Community involvementDuties:STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruit and recommend necessary staff replacement to the
director/owner before vacancies occur.
- Develop and supervise an excellent early childhood educational
curriculum goal approved by the Director/Owner.
- Conduct staff meetings weekly and when emergencies occur.
- Provide in-service staff training monthly. Provide training in
classroom responsibilities and utilize training services that are
available through other institutions in the community, as
necessary.
- Maintain overall goals and objectives of the Child Care
Center.
- Prepare and establish a division of labor with staff regarding
general cleaning and upkeep of the premises.
- Conduct staff write-ups.
- Ensure daily schedule for all staff.
- Maintain an active waitlist to ensure facility is 100% full via
a robust child enrollment outreach program.BUILDING AND SITE
MAINTENANCE
- Maintain license requirements for the building, keeping all
licenses current.
- Supervise building and equipment maintenance and
paperwork/record keeping.
- Must follow Title 22, Title 5 and Health and Safety on a daily
basis.CLASSROOM/STAFF DUTIES
- Conduct classes in an orderly and efficient manner, maintaining
discipline in an atmosphere of love and understanding.
- Teach subjects of the curriculum, employing the philosophy and
methods and utilizing the available equipment materials, all under
the direction and supervision of the School Administration.
- Supervise, train, and assist any teaching staff assigned to the
classroom.
- Supervise, train, and assist any Day Care person who is
new.
- Conduct orientations.
- Is responsible for keeping the school in order - the shelves,
cupboards, and closets - repairing the equipment and making the
office aware of equipment to be replaced - and overseeing the
gardener and cleaning person.
- Is responsible for overseeing needed snacks and supplies.
- Must do the billing once a month with the office.
- Is responsible for passing out all forms and notices.
- Must bring the files up to date and maintain them.
- Is responsible for keeping the office posted regarding absences
of employees.
- Must maintain an attendance chart on all children and call
those who are absent for more than 2 days.
- May have to fill in for a teacher if no one else can fill in
for an absent staff member.
- Is responsible for lesson plans, progress charts, and report
cards on all the children in the classroom. These can be divided if
there is another trained teacher in the classroom.
- Is responsible for conducting parent conferences twice a
year.
- Is responsible for preparing and incorporating all teacher-made
materials in the classroom. New materials must be brought in
bi-monthly. Is responsible for making sure that all labels are on
all program equipment and material (the maps, smelling and tasting
bottles, botany materials, etc.)
- Is responsible for attending and preparing for all parent
meetings and open houses.
- Is responsible for establishing weekly meetings with the
program director and must take notes to present all information, as
needed, at the weekly teacher's meetings.
- The Site Supervisor must work extra hours if necessary.
- The Site Supervisor duties are to be done outside of teaching
hours.
- Ensure CCTR contract is met on a daily basis with deadlines and
forms are inputted accurately and timely.
- Ensure CSPP contract is met on a daily basis with deadlines and
forms are inputted accurately and timely.
- Ensure all programs are up-to-date and accurate.
- Plan yearly events for staff and children.
- Other duties as needed.Minimum Qualifications:
- The Site Supervisor shall have a BA or higher including 24
ECE/CD units with core courses, 6 administration units and 2 adult
supervision units.
- Must have a current Site Supervisor Permit or Program Director
Permit issued by California Commission on Teacher
Credentialing.Other Considerations:
- The Site Supervisor must be able to perform light physical work
and have the ability to lift and carry children weighing 14 to 30
pounds. The Site Supervisor will be required to bend, crouch, lift,
kneel and do other light physical activity as they address the
needs of the student (e.g., diaper changing, toileting, cleaning,
etc.). The person in this position is responsible for maintaining
performance under pressure, and handling stress in a manner that is
acceptable to others and to the organization. Working conditions
