for an Electrical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team in
our Los Angeles office. At Arup, we use the latest design
technologies and analytic methods to deliver projects which make a
real impact. Sustainability, carbon reduction, and resilience are
at the core of what we do. We are looking for a skilled Electrical
Engineer who is looking to work on designs for a wide range of
projects including healthcare, laboratories, data centers,
commercial and rail.The Opportunity
- Participate in the design of a variety of medium to large-scale
complex projects. Undertake electrical systems design,
predominantly for building projects, including power systems and
lighting systems.
- Gain experience working on diverse projects across all of our
major business sectors including Healthcare, science and
technology, laboratories, and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with exceptional multi-disciplinary teams using our
experience at the local, regional, and global levels.
- Have opportunities for advancement in a rapidly growing
office.
- Design and perform calculations for power system study,
lighting systems and associated controls.
- Prepare and review drawings and specifications detailing the
design.
- Coordinate with multiple teams and work in conjunction with
project managers to help complete work you're doing. Write reports
for internal and external purposes based on findings.
- Present technical material in traditional and innovative ways
for review by technical and non-technical audiences.
- Understand trends and standard methodologies.
- Participate in local Professional Associations.The skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural
Engineering.
- At least 4 years of experience designing electrical systems for
buildings.
- Ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and
exceptional organization skills are required for our constantly
evolving environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for
team-based working.
- Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all
levels.
- Experience with Revit MEP.Preferred Skills
- Experience with design and analysis of renewable and
distributed energy systems.
- Experience with power system modeling using SKM.Please note

hiring range for this job if performed in Los Angeles is $90,000 to
$115,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience,
educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included
in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates
