#Allied*Job Summary*As an Ultrasonographer, you will be integral to the diagnostic imaging team, utilizing your expertise in medical imaging and anatomy to perform high-quality sonographic examinations. Reporting to the Radiology Manager, you will apply your core skills in medical terminology and aseptic techniques while leveraging your premium knowledge in physiology and diagnostic radiology. Your role will involve effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate imaging results. With relevant experience in various imaging modalities, including CT and MRI, you will contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care in a hospital setting.*Key Responsibilities:** Perform vascular ultrasound examinations including but not limited to carotid duplex, venous duplex (upper and lower extremities), arterial studies, abdominal aorta, and renal artery studies.* Evaluate the quality of ultrasound images and ensure proper documentation for physician interpretation.* Operate ultrasound equipment and manage image data within PACS systems.* Assist physicians during vascular procedures when needed.* Maintain accurate patient records, including exam notes, observations, and images.* Adhere to infection control and safety procedures.* Provide a high level of patient care and explain procedures clearly to patients.* Keep current with best practices, continuing education, and certifications relevant to vascular ultrasound.*Qualifications:** Associate or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.* Proficient in scanning peripheral arteries/veins, carotids, abdominal vasculature, and other related vascular studies.* Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy and physiology.* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.* Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.*Certs REQ:** RVT*Additional Information*Hours Per Week: 40.00Hours Per Day: 8.00Days Per Week: 5.00Schedule Notes: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:30)Job Type: 13 weeks contract with possible extensionPay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hourJob Types: Full-time, ContractExpected hours: 40 per weekJob Type: ContractPay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Vision insuranceSchedule:* Day shiftExperience:* Sonography: 2 years (Required)License/Certification:* BLS Certification (Required)* Registered Vascular Technologist (Required)Work Location: In person
