We are currently seeking a highly motivated Deputy Building Inspector located in Los Angeles, CA. Position Overview: The Deputy Building Inspector will provide special inspection support for the Tom Bradley International Mideld Satellite Concourse South project. This role requires knowledge of multiple code requirements, eective communication, and time management. Required Education: --- High school diploma (or equivalent) Required Certifications: --- CAL OSHA-30 certication --- Fall protection and harness training Required Qualifications: In order to become a candidate, you must possess these skills and abilities --- 5 years or more of experience performing as a LADBS Deputy Building Inspector on large-scale projects. o This includes overseeing and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations on significant construction projects. o Involvement in complex projects that require coordination with multiple stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and city officials. o Expertise in identifying and addressing code violations, ensuring that all aspects of construction meet the required standards. Element-Specic Requirements/Notes --- May assume other duties as required/needed. --- May be required to work various shifts as needed. --- Flexibility to work beyond regular shift preferred. --- Shall be open to work modied schedules, including nights and weekends, as dictated by the contractors' work activities and accelerated project schedules. --- ***Work schedule: 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday - Friday. Responsibilities: --- Create and maintain comprehensive daily inspection reports that capture the WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, and HOW of all construction work activities, while ensuring the reports are clear and concise to accurately reect daily progress. --- Assist in reviewing monthly progress payment requests when assigned to a program. --- Track various changes, verify time and material work, measure, and document job quantities. --- Conduct special inspections on various disciplines. --- Possess experience, knowledge, and understanding of methods used throughout construction. Possess valid Los Angeles City Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) Deputy Licenses in the following disciplines: o Concrete construction o Steel construction o Drilled-in anchors/seismic resistance o Spray-applied reproong Hardware/Software Knowledge --- Knowledge of Project Management Information Software used for inspection/document control (i.e. PM Web, Adobe Pro, Bluebeam, etc.). --- Computer prociency to review and utilize electronic equipment for contract documents eciently, including change orders, submittals, RFIs, and other inspection documents, with minimal supervision. Salary: --- $138,000 - $145,000 annually Bonus Pay: A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at management's discretion.
