As the selected & appointed Electrician/Maintenance Specialist you will hold the tasks of: Performs any and all tasks associated with maintaining and improving the performance of production related equipment and keeps it in a safe, working order. Completes scheduled maintenance and reliability improvement related projects, conducts preventive maintenance, troubleshoots, and responds to equipment & machine problems with a high sense of urgency. Maintains, modifies, and completes set-ups, performs troubleshooting and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems on packaging and processing machines. Actively supports Sugar Food?s VFM efforts; applies team principles, vision, and mission statement. Constantly looks for ways to improve the performance of production equipment as part of everyday responsibilities. Seeking a professional with a minimum 3 ? 5 years of industrial Electric / Electronics background ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Install, troubleshoot and repair electrical circuitry and electronic components. 2. Able to program PLC logic and use computer control programs to troubleshoot and improve machine performance. 3. Maintain machine electrical integrity. 4. Perform routine mechanical repairs (bearing replacements, gearbox rebuilds, and coupling alignments). 5. Performs preventive maintenance as directed. 6. Assist in the installation of new production equipment and ensures that new equipment is installed in accordance with local and federal codes (O.S.H.A.). 7. Weld, fabricate and install parts as necessary 8. Support machine operators and Team Leaders to ensure efficient facility operations. 9. Assist Operators and Sanitors with daily equipment set-ups. 10. Assist with the training of machine operators.
