About the Role:

As a CBRE D&T Operations Sr. Director, you will oversee the direction of the Digital and Technology Operations team, as well as the Innovation and Quality requirements for the account.

This job is part of the D&T Support job function, with added duties and scope around Process Improvement. They are responsible for providing technical support and solutions to internal users.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Develop and implement day-to-day operational systems and processes. Provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives.
  • Partner with department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals
  • Evaluate key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks. Report findings to Executive Director.
  • Devise strategies for ensuring the growth of programs enterprise-wide. Implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs
  • Adhere to the company's policies and standards, and ensure that laws and regulations are being followed.
  • Review current operational processes and performance. Recommend solutions for improvement and execute where necessary.
  • Apply deep knowledge of multiple disciplines, broad industry knowledge, and commercial awareness. Drive financial and functional performance within disciplines and across the business.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Negotiate with senior management, customers, and external parties of divergent interests to reach an agreement of strategic importance while being guided by the business segment and the organization's functional strategy.
  • Conceptualize new methods, techniques, processes, and standards across job disciplines or functions.
  • Direct the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems by applying advanced critical thinking.
  • Partner with leaders and end-customers to identify and deliver saving opportunities across all functions and activities.
  • Work with account management to ensure resources are identified in support of portfolio savings and operational strategies.
  • Provide regular updates with key deliverables and milestones to Sr. Management to ensure proper alignment with goals. Attend key internal and external customer meetings as an SME to report on defined opportunities, provide status updates, and amplify communications.
  • Utilize the organization's functional business plans to support the drive for value, service improvement, and change across the entire portfolio.
  • Support, as necessary, change management routines in the adoption of savings strategies that drive a change within the historical delivery of services.
  • Apply a robust knowledge of multiple disciplines, the business, and key drivers which impact departmental and cross-functional performance
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and other colleagues to take action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans. Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal.
  • Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department.
  • Significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.

    What You'll Need:

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 12-15 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
    • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
    • Ability to exchange sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
    • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
    • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
    • Expert organizational skills with an unrivaled inquisitive mindset.

        CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Digital & Tech Mgmt Sr Director position is $175,000.00 annually and the maximum salary for the Digital & Tech Mgmt Sr Director position is $185,000.00 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
