Job Description:
A company is looking for a Reinsurance Treaty Catastrophe
Modeler to analyze and assess risk in their property catastrophe
reinsurance portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and model complex reinsurance treaties using
industry-standard catastrophe models
Prepare and validate exposure data for input into catastrophe
models and execute these models to interpret results
Collaborate with underwriters and actuaries to provide
comprehensive risk assessments and communicate findings
Required Qualifications
5+ years of catastrophe modeling experience in the reinsurance
industry
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics,
Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
Proficiency in at least one major catastrophe modeling platform
(Verisk, RMS, or CoreLogic)
Strong understanding of reinsurance structures, treaty pricing, and
underwriting principles
Advanced analytical skills with experience in SQL, Python, or R for
data manipulation and analysis
