Echo Tech Summary of Job Responsibilities: Echo Techs must be able to perform high-quality echocardiograms, including 2D and Doppler ultrasound procedures, on patients of all ages. Obtain accurate and clear images for interpretation by cardiologists. Echo techs should be able to explain procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic results. Maintain equipment, perform regular calibration, and report any technical issues. Adhere to safety standards and infection control protocols. Echo Techs accurately document and input patient information into electronic health records (EHR) systems. Ensure adherence to CA DPH regulations and hospital policies, maintaining licensures and training. Job Requirements: At least one year hospital acute care experience. Pediatric and neonatal experience preferred, not required. Experience with TEEs and bubble studies preferred, not required. Experience with Definity preferred, not required. ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI required Current CPR Card issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Current Annual Health Clearance Must have proof of MMR, Varicella vaccinations or titers.
