Job Description:
DescriptionThe Department of Medicine is seeking a highly
motivated Staff Research Associate II to support community-based
preventive medicine projects led by principal investigators. In
this role, you will play a key role in coordinating research
activities and interventions designed to improve community health
outcomes. Primary responsibilities include preparing and submitting
study materials to the Institutional Review Board (IRB), supporting
participant recruitment and enrollment, conducting surveys and
interviews, and implementing research programs in alignment with
project goals. You will work closely with the Principal
Investigator and Co-Investigator to ensure the timely execution of
all project activities, while also managing administrative tasks to
support the research team. This role requires a balance of research
coordination and administrative support to advance impactful
community health initiatives.

career.Hourly range: $28.88-$46.46QualificationsRequired:
Experience with data analysis and interpretation. Familiarity with
both quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
Experienced in summarizing and presenting data for reports and
presentation.
Experienced in research project coordination. Ability to prioritize
group tasks, and manage projects & teams.
Strong problem solving skills. Flexibility and adaptability in
dynamic environment based on changing priorities and frequent
interruptions.
Excellent team skills, interacting well with individuals of diverse
backgrounds. Experience with establishing and maintaining effective
and cooperative working relationships with faculty, staff, and
research partners, and maintaining a helpful attitude at all
times.
Experience with community outreach and community-based
organizations.
Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and effectively
with a variety of individuals including faculty, staff, research
partners and participants.
Sound understanding of IRB regulations, submissions, and approval
process utilizing the Web IRB authorization program.
Skill in operating a MAC and PC with experience in MS Office and
the ability to learn additional software programs. Word processing
skills appropriate for completing research program documents and
correspondence with speed and accuracy preferred.
Familiarity with data analysis software, such as REDCap, SPSS, SAS,
Dedoose, and/or Stata
Ability to operate photocopy machines and standard audio-visual
equipment: projectors, microphones, portable screens, DVD players,
VCRs, etc.
Ability to perform duties and tasks independently with minimal
supervision.
Experience with Endnote reference management
Experience with Powerpoint and development of tables and
figures
Experience with data collection and/or analyses for medical
research.
Outstanding writing skills.
Skill in typing numerical tables of data using format provided.
Skill in editing for spelling, punctuation, grammar, and use of
medical terminology.
Additional computer skills including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe
Illustrator, Adobe Captivate - All - Preferred
