Job Title: -Equipment Procurement Specialist

Overview

We are looking for a Procurement Manager to handle all aspects of our equipment purchasing process. This includes finding reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing budgets, and keeping track of inventory. The ideal candidate will look for ways to save money, improve processes, and ensure we always have the right equipment available at the right time.


Key Responsibilities



  • Manage the Purchasing Process

    Oversee the entire equipment procurement cycle, from selecting vendors to ensuring on-time delivery and meeting operational needs.


  • Research Vendors & Maintain Relationships

    Conduct market research, compare different suppliers, and build strong partnerships to secure competitive pricing and high-quality products.


  • Monitor Budgets

    Keep an eye on spending to make sure it stays within set budgets, balancing cost savings with the need for quality equipment.


  • Negotiate Contracts & Pricing

    Request and review proposals, then negotiate terms with vendors to meet cost, quality, and scheduling requirements.


  • Expand Vendor Options

    Continuously explore and onboard new suppliers to strengthen our supply chain and reduce costs where possible.


  • Project Support

    Work closely with project managers to finalize all procurement-related tasks and documentation when projects are completed.


  • On-Site Oversight

    Visit project or installation sites to check equipment setup, confirm it meets specifications, and resolve any procurement issues.


  • Equipment Lifecycle Management

    Assist the maintenance team with tracking equipment warranties, service agreements, and scheduling repairs or replacements.


  • Purchase Orders & Contracts

    Prepare and manage purchase orders while reviewing contract details, making sure everything follows company policies and best practices.


  • Inventory Tracking

    Maintain real-time records of equipment to avoid shortages, overstock, or disruptions in the supply chain.


  • Ensure Compliance

    Follow procurement policies, safety guidelines, and industry rules to minimize risks and protect operations.


  • Optimize Processes

    Regularly analyze procurement activities, suggesting improvements that lower costs, speed up operations, and enhance sourcing strategies.


  • Additional Duties

    Handle other responsibilities as assigned by management.




    Qualifications



    • Education

      Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.


    • Experience

      5+ years in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, with a strong focus on equipment sourcing and vendor relationships.


    • Technical Skills

      Familiarity with procurement and inventory systems; able to interpret data for better purchasing decisions.


    • Procurement Knowledge

      Strong grasp of cost analysis, budgeting, and effective sourcing methods to maximize savings.


    • Negotiation Abilities

      Skilled at securing favorable pricing and terms while maintaining positive supplier relationships.


    • Analytical & Research Skills

      Capable of studying market trends to find the most cost-effective options.


    • Attention to Detail

      Accurate in tracking purchases, managing contracts, and ensuring timely deliveries.


    • Communication

      Effective at working with vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders at all levels.


    • Project Management

      Ability to juggle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting business needs.
