16:00 (PST), Monday-FridayDEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONUW Medicine IT
Services (ITS) is a shared services organization that supports all
of UW Medicine. UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical
Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW
Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), Valley Medical Center
(VMC), UW Medicine Primary Care (UWMPC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW
School of Medicine (SOM), and Airlift Northwest (ALNW). ITS is
responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the
infrastructure and applications which support all these
institutions, along with the implementation of new services and
applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and deliver effective Epic Cogito training courses for
a diverse audience of multidisciplinary faculty, staff, and
clinical medical students.
- Apply adult learning principles and a strong working knowledge
of Epic Cogito functionality and features to analyze, design,
develop, implement, evaluate, and maintain effective informational
Cogito courses using a standardized instructional design
methodology.
- Create online training modules and supporting materials using
the latest and most appropriate development software.
- Utilize continuous quality improvement principles to evaluate
and revise existing curricula as part of the routine maintenance of
the Cogito training programs and materials.
- Deliver course content for a variety of learning modalities
including instructor-led classroom and virtual courses, e-Learning
solutions, and "in-service" sessions in outpatient and inpatient
settings.REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business
Administration, Instructional Design, Applied Learning and
Development, or related field or equivalent combination of
education/experience.
- 4+ years of experience must include:
- 4+ years of experience designing and developing curricula
(including eLearnings) in a complex environment, using standardized
instructional design methodology and adult learning theory.
- 2+ years of experience training on Epic Cogito.
- Strong, applied experience collaborating with internal teams,
external teams, and management to ensure requirements are being met
and projects are kept on schedule.
- Deep understanding of Epic Cogito Tools and products.
- Proactive technical troubleshooting and problem-solving
skills.
- Strong, applied experience working with a learning management
system such as SumTotal, Canvas, Blackboard, etc.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel,
Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe InDesign, Adobe
Captivate, Articulate Storyline 360, and SharePoint.
- Strong, applied experience creating multi-media and eLearning
programs using authoring tools such as Captivate, Lectora,
Camtasia, Storyline, and Firefly and experience with designing
education that incorporates web technologies is highly
desirable.
- Strong, applied experience with project planning and control
techniques, such as work breakdown structures, critical path
analysis, resource analysis, and conflict resolution.
- Strong, applied experience with project risk management.
- Ability to synthesize operational data, literature, and verbal
input into appropriate policy and procedure.
- Experience in organizing, planning, and executing projects from
vision through implementation, involving internal personnel,
