We are looking for Service Officer I to join our team. The Service Officer I will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day sales, service, and operational efficiency of the teller, new accounts, client service areas in order to make sure that client needs are met in an efficient and professional manner and that operational quality control is in place. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in opening new accounts for customers. (Personal & Business Checking, Saving, Money Market and CD Accounts).Including Cash Management Documentation.
  • Close CD & Installment Saving Accounts, as requested by customers or at the end of term date.
  • Review the Dormant Account Report. Contact customer and send out letters as appropriate.
  • Review CD Maturity report.
  • Assist customers with Safe Deposit Box access.
  • Update customer information such as change of address phone number as requested by customer.
  • Approve deposit, withdrawal and other operations-related transactions for the amount up to the authorized approval limit. In smaller branch will help process transactions.
  • Order supplies as needed directly with vendor or through the appropriate department.
  • Perform Monthly, Semi-annual, and Quarterly GL Certification.
  • Customer Service Duties include processing Reg E Claims and providing banking services both in-person and by telephone.
  • Ensure that New Accounts employees properly complete the New Account Checklist when approving new account documents.
    Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Minimum five years of experience in bank operations as a teller, new accounts representative, or supervisor required.
  • Must be able to work independently without constant supervision. Some experience in retail sales and customer service functions a plus.
  • Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or client complaints.
  • Accurate typing/keyboarding skills; basic computer skills, including the use of word processing, spreadsheet software applications, core banking process systems, e-mail and online banking programs.
  • Good analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Employee Benefits & Perks
