Job Description:

Our law firm is looking for an attorney who is ready to represent our existing client base of musicians, artists, businesses, and governments in civil litigation of intellectual property and corporate disputes. The ideal candidate will work closely with the firm's clients, administrative staff, and senior partners. If you have the ability to handle a diverse caseload, have stellar research and writing skills, can communicate effectively, and use today's technology well, please apply!

Responsibilities:

--- Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients' needs after analysis
--- Preside over paralegals, administrative assistants in connection with keeping track of time records, reviewing client billing, setting up client meetings and completing client projects
--- Supervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks
--- Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome
--- Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings


Qualifications:

--- Minimum 1-2 years' experience working in a law firm environment
--- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is needed
--- Graduation from law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience in representing clients for at least 2 years
--- Well-versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis)
--- Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role
