The Freelance Broadcast IT Engineer will support live studio broadcast and postproduction with an emphasis on networking. Understanding of Network Rules, Firewalls, VLANs, Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing protocol knowledge will be needed to keep production and post-production units operational.A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work on location at the Fox Pico Lot supporting Production and Post-production daily operations
• Work with a team of engineers with vast knowledge of multiple operating systems and broadcast gear
• Provide technical support of gear ranging from Network Switches, IP routers, Automation, 2110 broadcast devices
• Understand CAD drawings for the purpose of planning/implementing expansion projectsWHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 2+ years of experience in IT based engineering roles
• CCNP Certification
• Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing protocol understanding
• Advanced computer/IT skills
• Understanding of networking, subnets, and IT configurationNICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
• College education
• Prior work experience in television trucks or network facilities
• Broadcast router experience
