Software Architect focuses on how an organization can align its
technology and processes with overall business strategy and value
streams. A qualified candidate needs the core competencies of
Business, IT, Technology and Security Architectures to succeed. The
role is a multi-faceted, fast-paced position for those
efficiency-driven and naturally curious about the ever-changing
landscape of software architecture and how it relates to the
business goals. This role is ultimately responsible for designing
and overseeing the implementation of software solutions, ensuring
they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with our business
goals.Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation or evolution of the EA function, including
the coordination of an appropriately balanced pursuit of enterprise
information systems, data, technical and solution architecture
viewpoints stakeholders, product owners and agile development
teams.
- Understanding, advocating and supporting the enterprise's
business and IT strategies.
- Leading the identification and analysis of enterprise business
drivers to derive enterprise business, information, technical and
solution architecture requirements; analyzing industry, technology
and market trends to determine their potential impacts on the
enterprise.
- Analyzing the current business and IT environment to detect
critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
- Leading and facilitating the creation of governing principles
to guide solution decision making for the enterprise.
- Ensuring that the optimal governance structure and compliance
activities are associated with EA compliance.
- Leading the development of an implementation plan for the EA,
based on business requirements and IT strategies; overseeing EA
implementation, ongoing EA refinement activities, and the
documentation of all EA design and analysis work.
- Consulting with program/project teams to fit solutions to
architecture across all viewpoints.
- Defining organizational requirements for the resources,
structures and cultural changes necessary to support the EA.
- Promoting the EA process, outcomes and results to the
organization, including the enterprise's IT and business leaders;
this includes assessing (through appropriate metrics) and
communicating the achievement and impact of the EA, as well as
leading the development and execution of an EA communication and
education plan.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system
architecture, including components, modules, and interfaces. Create
design documents that outline the technical specifications.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the development team,
ensuring they understand and follow architectural decisions.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively to clients, business
stakeholders, team members and employees via phone/electronic
messaging.
- Ensure that the software architecture complies with industry
standards and regulatory requirements. *Pursuant to California Pay
Transparency Law the pay range for this position is $143,000 -
$178,000 plus bonus; base pay offered may vary depending on
job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Minimum Requirements:
- MS/BS in Computer Science or related background preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of leading high-performance teams
toward the successful attainment of challenging goals.
- 10 years of experience in at least one of the following IT
disciplines (such as technical cloud architecture, solution
architecture, network management, application development,
middleware design, information analysis, database management or
operations management).
- In-depth understanding of IT Service Management, Monitoring
Solutions, Data/Solution Solutions, Cybersecurity Operations &
Compliance, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery, Identity,
and Access Management.
- Enterprise Payroll Processing Experience is a must.
- Experience with C# and .Net technologies - certification is a
plus.
- Experience with MS SQL Server, MySQL or similar relational
databases.
- Experience in fast-paced, innovative, Agile SDLC.
- Full stack development, Angular development, experience with
cloud providers (in particular AWS) and their services.
- Strong previous development experience with exposure to
enterprise applications.
- Strong problem solving, organization and analytical
skills.
- In-depth knowledge of software development tools and best
practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast paced
