IT Asset Manager (Consultant) - Moorpark or Simi Valley, CA
MUST be US CITIZEN and Clearance eligible - Hybrid or On-Site - NO REMOTE
TITLE: IT Asset Manager (SME/consultant)
LOCATION: Moorpark, CA or Simi Valley, CA
DURATION: Possible contract to hire - 3-6 months
REPORTS TO/ HIERARCHY: Sr. Manager Service Desk
HOURLY PAY: $60-$65hr Depending on Experience might go higher

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
    
    • 
      
    • Associate degree in a science-related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
      
    • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in asset management at an enterprise level.
      
    • Appropriate technical certification(s) are preferred (e.g., ITIL v4, CITAM).
      
    • 7+ years of relevant experience designing an enterprise ITAM framework, with experience in Tanium and preferably experience moving between ITAM solutions.
      
    • Demonstrated experience designing, supporting, and continuously improving IT asset repositories.
      
    • Experience with leading systems and tools for IT asset management, discovery, and automation/workflow capabilities (e.g., ServiceNow, Tanium).
      
    • Experience in leading and influencing IT staff of all levels to adopt ITAM standards, processes, and controls.
      
    • Strong service orientation and understanding of developing effective working relationships with users and organizational stakeholders of all levels.
      
    • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
      
    • Ability to work well under pressure.
      
    • Experience working with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, and assist in resolving their problems.
      
    • Ability to express information effectively to individuals or groups considering the audience and nature of the information.
      
    • Thoroughness and conscientiousness in performing work, especially in reviewing accreditation documentation for compliance.
      
    • Displays reasonable judgment in identifying and resolving problems, using sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives.
      
      Job Summary
      The IT Asset Manager is responsible for the lifecycle management and governance of the Firm's technology assets, ensuring that IT assets are inventoried, maintained, and disposed of according to established policies and procedures. This role works closely with technical teams and cross-functional stakeholders to establish, enforce, monitor, and continuously improve asset management processes, standards, and controls.
      Position Responsibilities
      
      • 
        
      • Oversees the IT asset management (ITAM) program, including procedures, processes, and controls for inventory management, software licensing, maintenance, and disposal.
        
      • Supports the definition of guidelines for the use of IT assets in partnership with Information Security.
        
      • Partners with cross-functional stakeholders for the procurement of new IT assets and disposition of legacy assets.
        
      • Manages deployment and refresh of information assets throughout the organization.
        
      • Monitors the organization's IT assets to ensure appropriate usage and provides regular reports on their usage.
        
      • Maintains the database/system of record for assets (e.g., software, hardware) and configuration management (CMDB).
        
      • Leads the design and execution of standards and operational processes for configuration management.
        
      • Identifies opportunities for simplification, cost savings, risk reduction, and efficiency.
        
      • Serves as the business owner of enterprise asset management solutions.
        
      • Defines and monitors asset management service management levels/key performance indicators.
        
      • Stays abreast of industry trends and best practices relative to IT asset management.
        
      • Manages asset risks and issues affecting IT services and end-user productivity.
