  • Provide manufacturing support for operations and planners in the machine shop
  • Communicate with counterpart on other shifts
  • Know how to operate and set up CNC Mills and Lathes
  • Oversee programming activities of upcoming products
  • Responsible for maintenance of the fabrication systems. Coordinate trouble shooting activities with maintenance and suppliers to resolve issues with mechanized processes
  • Support and maintain data collection for trouble shooting, keep accurate day to day maintenance log of systems.
  • Oversee training of techs and operators across all shifts
  • Provide cross functional support to other Polaris plantsas needed
  • Design and implement programs and tests for all fabrication machines
  • Assist supervisors in monitoring quality of equipment.
  • Lead quality improvement projects within machining to analyze and interpret best course of action for improvement
  • Troubleshoot any machine variances to maintain product quality.
  • Maintain OSHA compliance and corporate safety standards within the department and company.
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating SOPs and other process related activities.
  • Miscellaneous duties as required
  • Understand and implement "Time Studies" in regards to machine cycle time and cell flow.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineers, technicians and operators to identify and implement improvements in safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Assist manufacturing engineering with the development of new projects
  • Work the manufacturing team to update detail CAD layouts for equipment and workstation design.SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
    • Prefer individuals with experienceprogramming CNC Mills and Lathes
    • Knowledge of measuring equipment and interpretation of technical drawings.
    • Knowledge in CNC bending machines, laser cutting and tube forming processes.
    • Knowledge in metal mechanical field
    • Experience utilizing Windows environment (PC)
    • Proactive with ability to work flexible schedules if necessary
    • Associates degree in a technical field with a minimum or two years of programming experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of 2D / 3D design software (Creo, Autocad, Solidworks)
    • Knowledge of Cad / Cam packages ( ArTube, VGP, Mastercam, surfcam, etc..)WORKING CONDITIONS:
