  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Cardiac Telemetry nurse for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience.

    • Active ACLS certification

    • Active California License
      • Schedule Information
      • Contract length: 13 weeks
      • 12 hr shifts 0645-1915, 1845-0715
      • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
      • Holidays: Yes 1 major, one minor for both winter and summer holidays
        • Additional Details
        • Unit: 3G CVU - Telemetry and cardiovascular unit
        • # beds: 30 beds
        • Ratios: 4:1
        • EMR: Cerner power chart
        • Charge Nurse: Yes - they do not take a patient assignment
        • Nurse Aides: Yes- 1:12 OR MORE
        • Scrub Color: Navy
        • Tele: Monitors GE SpaceLabs
        • Do nurses read strips: Yes
        • Drips: cardizem, amiodarone, nitro, bumex, lasix, dopamine, dobutamine, all non-titrating except for cardizem - titrated up to 15 mcg/min
        • Vents: No
        • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes

        • RT 24/7: Yes
        • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
        • Floating: They will be required to float to any MS or Tele, if ICU experience they will float there
        • Floor specific orientation: 2-3 shifts on unit
        • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: regular telemetry patients TR bands, renal failure and other telemetry stable patients
        • Additional Notes: 2 years of experience or more is required, travel experience preferred; EOW First to Float
