oversee the day-to-day operations of our people strategy, with a
strong emphasis on generalist HR experience, compliance, and legal

PSTDetails - Full Time- ExemptReporting to - Vice President of
Human ResourcesTASTE SUCCESS -As our Senior Human Resources Manager
at HexClad you will lead people operations, focusing on compliance,
legal aspects, and HR generalist functions while supporting the
company's rapid growth. The role involves collaborating with the VP
of HR to execute strategic initiatives, managing recruitment, and
enhancing employee engagement. Ideal candidates will have startup
and eCommerce/DTC experience, be tech-savvy, and comfortable
navigating the complexities of a scaling organization.
- Confidentiality: Handle sensitive and confidential information
with the utmost discretion and professionalism, maintaining
confidentiality at all times and adhering to privacy policies and
legal requirements.
- People Operations: Oversee employee lifecycle processes
including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding. Lead
initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention while
maintaining a focus on company culture. Develop and optimize HR
processes to support rapid company growth.
- HR Generalist Expertise: Serve as a trusted advisor across all
HR functions including benefits administration, employee relations,
compensation, and talent development. Provide guidance on complex
HR issues, maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal
regulations. Collaborate with legal teams to manage risk and ensure
HR policies are compliant and up-to-date.
- Legal and Compliance: Drive compliance initiatives across the
organization, keeping HexClad aligned with all applicable labor
laws and regulations. Advise managers and employees on HR-related
legal matters while understanding the nuances of navigating grey
areas during company scaling. Assist in implementing and
maintaining policies that mitigate legal risks and enhance
organizational stability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the VP of HR
to execute on the department's overall vision and ensure HR
strategies align with business goals. Partner with other
departments, including finance, operations, and marketing, to
address HR-related needs and ensure smooth cross-functional
operations.
- Recruiting and Talent Acquisition: Actively participate in
recruitment efforts, helping to source, interview, and onboard top
talent. Provide insight into staffing needs, forecasting, and
scaling teams across departments. Partner with external recruiting
teams or agencies when necessary to meet hiring goals.
- HR Tech and Systems: Utilize tools such as Google Drive,
ClickUp, and other HR-related software to streamline operations and
manage HR projects. Drive automation and data-driven
decision-making within HR processes, leveraging technology for
increased efficiency and transparency. You'll also lead the
development and management of HexClad's new HRIS, deel.
- Culture Initiatives: Collaborate with the VP of HR to develop
and implement company culture initiatives, including employee
engagement programs, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and
recognition programs, fostering a positive and inclusive work
environment.
- Workers Compensation: Serve as the primary point of contact for
workers' compensation claims, liaising with insurance providers,
employees, and managers to ensure timely and accurate processing of
claims and adherence to legal requirements.
- Leaves of Absence: Manage leaves of absence requests, including
FMLA, disability, and other types of leave, ensuring compliance
with company policies and applicable regulations, and providing
support and guidance to employees and managers throughout the
process.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the
VP of HR, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings,
preparing documents and presentations, and handling general
inquiries, demonstrating professionalism and confidentiality at all
times.
- Project Management: Utilize project management tools such as
ClickUp to manage HR projects and initiatives, tracking progress,
deadlines, and milestones, and coordinating tasks with
cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution.
- General Follow-ups: Conduct follow-ups on action items,
deadlines, and tasks as assigned by the VP of HR, ensuring that
projects and initiatives progress smoothly and
efficiently.Requirements
- 5+ years of HR generalist experience, with at least 2 years in
a senior or leadership role.
- Experience working in high-growth, startup environments
preferred.
- Prior experience in eCommerce or Direct-to-Consumer (DTC)
industries is a plus.
- Prior experience using a PEO and building out a HRIS highly
desired, deel software an added plus.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and best
practices.
- Proven ability to navigate and implement HR policies in
dynamic, rapidly evolving organizations.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy, with
experience using tools like Google Drive and ClickUp.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the
ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the
organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration,
or a related field. Advanced degrees or HR certifications (e.g.,
SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
- Love of food and cooking! Cooking skills and/or experience in
