You will protect and promote the interests of both Gilbane and the client in all matters as well as demonstrating the personal characteristics of a developing leader.Responsibilities

  • Completes the quality checks and execution of day-to-day VDC project deliverables and processes
  • Communicates with internal and external project teams; facilitates meetings to resolve project issues, review schedules, or other project documentation
  • Assigns responsible party(s) for issue resolution; verifies and documents with meeting minutes, submittals, RFIs, and updated models
  • Utilizes 3D design software to identify, communicate, and resolve project challenges
  • Utilizes Reality Capture technology, such as laser scanning and drones, to support project deliverables
  • Combines all building discipline models into coordination model
  • Reviews the coordination model for constructability issues utilizing the software's clash detection capabilities
  • Participates in Business Unit (BU) office and department activities including the orientation program, training sessions, and peer group meetings
  • Manage multiple VDC tasks at a given timeQualificationsEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
    • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
    • 1+ years of VDC Coordination experience
    • Or equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
      • Strong problem-solving skills
      • Strong time-management and analytical skills
      • Strong knowledge and proficiency with BIM design software (Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, In-design)
      • Basic understanding of construction documentation
      • Knowledge of construction systems
      • Receptive and inquisitive about design concepts and integrated building components and systems
      • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
      • Knowledge of Baseline and Enterprise VDC standardsSalary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.For Los Angeles, CA this ranges from $92,200.00 - $126,900.00 plus benefits and retirement program.Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
