come join us.Vast is looking for a Senior Payload Integration
Engineer, reporting to the Senior Manager Title of Integration, to
support the development of the systems that will be required for
the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space
stations.This will be a full-time,exempt position located in our
Long Beach location.Responsibilities:
- Ensure the successful integration and test of assemblies into
the Haven-1 space station
- Manage integration build flow and test operations
- Evaluate proposed designs for manufacturability and
integration
- Interface with both engineers and technicians to optimize
manufacturing and automation
- Develop and refine manufacturing assembly procedures
- Enable day-to-day execution of the vehicle integration and test
flow
- Evaluate non-conformances to determine root cause and create
actionable items and system improvementsMinimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering,
Electrical Engineering, or other engineering discipline
- 3 Years of experience integrating and testing spacecraft
assemblies / subassemblies
- Hands on hardware and manufacturing experiencePreferred Skills
& Experience:
- Master's degree in an engineering discipline
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, or other programming
language
- Experience with integration and testing of propulsion, life
support, thermal, and avionics systems
- Documentation and configuration management experience
- Experience writing test plans, procedures, and providing
go/no-go judgment and rationale
- Experience in a production environmentAdditional Requirements:
- Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support
critical mission milestones
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassistedSalary Range:
California$135,000 - $170,000 USD COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Base
salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education,
skills, experience, business needs, and market demand. Salary is
