WHAT YOU'LL DOThe Machine Learning team at Viant is transforming the Ad Tech industry with innovative machine learning systems. By automating manual processes involved in creating, launching, and measuring digital ads, we develop autonomous systems that process hundreds of millions of events daily. We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to design and deploy real-time, low-latency machine learning services. In this role, you will contribute to innovative solutions, collaborate with team members, and help shape Viant's success.THE DAY-TO-DAY

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers and data scientists to address complex business challenges.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable AI/ML services for high-throughput production workloads.
• Learn and implement MLOps best practices to support robust model lifecycle pipelines.
• Assist in integrating emerging Generative AI techniques into production-grade systems.
• Write high-quality, production-ready, and scalable code.
• Actively participate in code reviews and team discussions to improve the quality and performance of ML solutions.MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in a Machine Learning Engineering or similar role.
  • Experience deploying machine learning models in production environments.
  • Proficiency in programming with at least one of the following languages: Go or Python.
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Eagerness to learn and implement MLOps best practices, focusing on scalability and reliability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and solve technical challenges.GREAT TO HAVE
    • Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
    • Experience in the Ad Tech industry or digital advertising systems.
    • Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Ray, or Dask).
    • Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
