Specialist, you are responsible for the technical end-to-end
success of Capital Group's highest levels of internal and external
live, hybrid, and virtual event productions. You will be
accountable for technical planning ahead of select events,
including co-creating and shaping technical event production
experiences alongside our on-site Events Producer. You will also
act as a single point of responsibility for day-of technical event
operations and execution and influence and deliver infrastructure
investments to improve and grow Capital Group's live event
production capabilities.This role will provide technical support as
well as provide direction for integrated and hybrid broadcast, show
and studio production operations. This role is responsible for
ensuring the AV and Studio technologies work together and morph as
technology changes inside and outside of client network and in
scheduled events.What will you be doing?
- Oversees all technical aspects of executive-level and
high-profile live events for both internal and external audiences.
Setup, Operate and Strike Client Live Events and Meeting
support.
- This person is the technical advisor for the delivery of
technological solutions that provide white glove support to
meetings and events that require in-house AV team presence and
expertise.
- Maintain and Follow the Scheduling, Coordination, Sourcing and
Supervision of external vendors and third-party teams used for
successful technical production.
- Technologies that need support include but are not limited to:
Ross Carbonite and Tricaster production switching, and corporate
event AV systems expertise (Crestron control, Video conferencing,
Qsys audio DSPs, media streaming devices, etc).
- Experience and competency with manufacturing tools and
platforms used for configuration and problem resolution of
audio-visual technologies.
- Oversee, manage and Initiate troubleshooting, escalation to
resolution of complex issues, perform the maintenance of in-house
Production equipment as required for optimal functionality.
- Perform equipment readiness checks, including powering on
equipment for events and verifying room setups. Deliver technical
support for front-of-house signage and audio, ranging from basic
troubleshooting to advanced assistance.
- Location: DTLA office
- Travel will be required, up to 30% as needed.What do we require
from you?Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication, Film, Engineering, a
related technical field or equivalent experience.Required
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience designing, installing, and/or
maintaining live event production studios, equipment, and event
spaces.
- You have a proven track record of internal and external
technical event delivery, including mission critical corporate
all-associates and external customer productions.
- 7+ years of experience coordinating and planning technical
productions for the highest levels of corporate events, including
internal executive leadership's communications teams, and external
guest and customers.
- 7+ years of experience in live production technical direction
roles, acting as single point of responsibility for day-of
technical event production operations.
- 5+ years of experience managing external video and event
production vendors.
- You possess extensive knowledge of audio systems, cameras,
lighting, video processing and switching, control systems, event
streaming platforms, mass video broadcasting over digital networks,
and information security protocols.
- You have experience building technical event coordination
processes and clear sets of service menus across internal
departments.
- Ability to interpret system drawings. Demonstrate knowledge,
management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of broadcast systems,
equipment, facilities, and production systems used in the Media and
Entertainment/ Broadcast industry.
- Proficiency with commercial audio visual, video conferencing,
and broadcast equipment and manufacturers.
- You process a product mentality, creating and developing
technical event services as a mature, repeatable, and durable
