Job Description:
A company is looking for an Acquisition Editor for Politics and
International Affairs.
Key Responsibilities
Acquire content in alignment with market and product needs,
enhancing the scholarly reputation of the Press
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including
authors, editors, and academic stakeholders
Negotiate contracts and utilize data-driven analysis for
decision-making in the acquisition process
Required Qualifications
Experience in academic and trade publishing acquisitions
Knowledge of Political Science, International Relations, or other
social sciences
Proven ability to manage projects through all stages of
commissioning and publication
Experience in building networks within the publishing and academic
communities
Understanding of open access publishing and current trends in
academic publishing
