At -Silgan Containers, we manufacture metal packaging solutions for some of the most recognized brands in the U.S. Our -Accounting team -is seeking a Senior Accountant -to manage -vendor payments, metal and freight reconciliation, and month end close activities. • Compensation: $76,600-$97,700 annually. Salary is considered using various factors such as years of experience, education level, certifications, unique skills, and market conditions. -

  • Process and validate -vendor invoices for -metal shipments, freight, and outside processing, ensuring accuracy in purchase orders and receipts.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions, resolving -invoice discrepancies -by collaborating with vendors, Procurement, and Silgan plants.
  • Coordinate payment approvals -with internal stakeholders and ensure timely vendor payments.
  • Prepare and post journal entries -related to -freight charges, vendor rebates, and price adjustments.
  • Manage vendor claims, track outstanding balances, and prepare -executive reports -on collections.
  • Facilitate financial audits -by maintaining accurate AP documentation and reconciliations. What you need to have:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
    • 3 or more years accounting experience.
    • Advanced MS Excel and intermediate skills in MS Office.
    • Comfortable working with large datasets and ERP systems.
    • Ability to work in the Woodland Hills, CA office five days a week.
    • Solid multi-tasking and prioritizing abilities.
    • Detailed mindset with problem solving skills -to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
    • High level of professionalism and effective communication skills. Who we are: -
