We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as the Director of Tax.As the Director of Tax Department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our tax department, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of tax-related tasks, and providing leadership and guidance to a team of tax professionals. This position requires strong technical expertise in tax laws, regulations, and compliance, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the tax department, including supervising a team of tax professionals and providing guidance and support as needed.
• Develop and implement tax strategies and policies to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely filing.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends, and communicate these changes to the team.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of tax-related activities with other business functions.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, strategies, and compliance matters.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations of tax department staff and provide coaching and feedback to support their professional growth.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the tax department, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing.Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; CPA Certified and/or EA License preferred.
• Fluent working with Intuit Pro-Series, Lacerte, and Quick Books strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax planning, compliance, and consulting, preferably in a CPA firm or similar professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, as well as proficiency in tax software and research tools.
• Excellent leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve high performance.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues at all levels.
