culture.ResponsibilitiesOaktree is seeking an Associate to assist
with subscription line/capital call, NAV and asset-based facilities
across all our funds, excluding strategic credit at this time.
Historically, each of Oaktree's investment teams have managed these
activities individually.
- Assist with transaction execution & structuring of subscription
line, NAV and asset-based facilities:
- Coordinate with lenders, external counsel and internal teams
(accounting, legal, finance, investment teams, tax, KYC) to
facilitate transaction documentation and compliance
- Continually monitor facilities and make recommendations to
upsize/downsize as appropriate
- Maintain standard execution processes
- Build effective working relationships with banks and internal
stakeholders:
- Serve as internal contact for fund finance inquiries from
portfolio managers, relationship managers, investment
professionals, corporate and accounting teams
- Reporting and Data Management:
- Prepare presentations and reports for internal stakeholders and
external partners, ensuring accuracy and clarity
- Partner with the accounting team to help develop a framework
for tracking credit facility utilization
- Address day-to-day inquiries related to credit facilities from
internal teams, lenders, third parties
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of a master data base
for subscription lines, NAV and asset-based facilities
- Assist with implementation of 3rd party workflow management
software
- Maintain and oversee the wallet share and legal fee tracking
database, handling regular and ad hoc reporting requests
- Liaise with data management, information solutions to automate
as much of the work as possibleQualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of business experience, which may include
a background in investment banking, finance, capital markets and
funding
- Outstanding analytical and project management skills
- Ability to manage tasks with competing priorities and
deadlines, while independently driving projects to completion
- Expertise at preparing and reviewing complex financial
modelsPersonal Attributes
- The individual must have exceptional financial modeling skills
and be very advanced in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint,
Power BI/Python/Database experience is preferred
- The successful candidate must demonstrate considerable
initiative and be a self-starter
- The candidate must have excellent written, verbal, and
interpersonal communication skills
- The individual will be team-oriented and collaborative and must
possess strong integrity and professionalism
- Ability to interface with different stakeholders and
demonstrate strong problem-solving skillsEducationBachelor's degree
required.Base Salary Range$140,000 - $180,000In addition to a
competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive
discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package
and a flexible work arrangement. The base salary offered will be
commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry
knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and
