Position Details:
Job Title: Business Analyst III
Shift: General Business Hours
Location: 21301 Burbank Blvd Woodland Hills, CA 91367 -REMOTE( Must
be available to work PST hours)
Pay Rate: $ 64.60 /hr on W2
Contract Length: 14 months.
*Contract Extension or Conversion to FTE based on Performance,
Attendance and Business Need*
Roles and responsibilities
Gather user requirements:
- Develop a thorough understanding of the business need, related
business processes.
- Organize, prepare, and lead requirements definition sessions
with the business stakeholders and/or SME's.
- Document and translate complex business problems into business
requirements and functional solutions.
- Provide the right level of documentation for the audience and
objective (i.e. User Stories, BPMN, Wireframes, UML, PowerPoint,
etc.).
- (Document and) confirm business requirements with the clients.
Collaborate with the Scrum team/technical staff/source application
teams:
- Effectively communicate the business requirements to technical
staff.
- ssist in design of the proposed technical solution to the
business need.
- Break down business requirements into concise JIRA tickets
(Epics, User Stories, Tasks) and define Acceptance Criteria.
- nswer questions and resolve ambiguities for the developers and
QA Engineers during development.
- Ensure that the software meets project objectives and customer
expectations.
- Be the main point of contact for communication between the
project team and the source system owners. Business process mapping
- Understanding and documenting the current Business Process and
the desired Business Process and User Journey for the Copyright
Licensing Platform
- Propose and advise on potential solutions to business
problems
- Help identify potential improvements for Business
Transformation
- Lead Workshops to gather requirements and communicate results
to stakeholders Business test cycle planning
- Capturing Test Scenarios
- Creation and maintenance of test plans in Zephyr Scale for
Business User Testing to create effective Business Sign Off
- ssisting Business with Testing Business User Stories creation
and refinement for Dev handover
- Logging detailed new requirements from discussions with the
business
- Discussing the requirement with Dev Team to get them
fulfilled.
- Updating and amending requirements where necessary
- ssisting in Development prioritization and planning by
packaging up requirements into coherent deliveries/Product Releases
Project / JIRA Admin
- dmin and maintenance of Project Workflow in JIRA to effectively
communicate the status of the development.
- Collaborate and Review with other Client and Project Team to
develop and maintain best practice
- Refine and help manage the Product Backlog
- System Documentation
- Maintaining shared Documentation of the system within
Confluence for use of the Business and Dev team
- Work with other Teams to understand what and where data can be
sourced from Reporting
- ssist with reporting Project OKRs / KPIs to stakeholders.
Effectively manage time and priorities:
- Complete deliverables on-time with limited supervision.
- Manage multiple work streams, assess priorities and deliver
complete, accurate work products.
- Proactively resolve time conflict issues working with direct
management, project managers and the user community.
- Develop agendas and conduct meetings.
- Document issues discussed and action items assigned for each
meeting.
Skills
- 5+ years of business analysis experience
- Experience in gathering specifications for web-based
applications.
- Experience in working in Agile teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Excellent technical writer and strong technical integration
skills with ability to generate process documentation in narratives
and diagrams.
- nticipates needs and takes initiative to address
challenges.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of databases and web services
- Detail oriented and capable of delivering a high level of
accuracy.
- Willing to work flexible hours for collaboration with teams +/-
8-hour time zone difference
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or
equivalent experience (at least 5 years as a Business Analyst)
